Which boarding schools have formal sit-down meals?

Besides these schools that I saw mentioned on another thread, which other schools have regular sit-down meals with faculty? It can be lunch or dinner.

One of the benefits of formal sit-downs–some great pictures of your kids with their friends, looking very presentable. Even though we weren’t there, I appreciate having these mementos…

Pomfret (10 char)

Hogwarts!
But really,
Tabor (MA)

The St. Andrew’s approach is as follows, and I give details because I it is, I believe, in the “minority” with Deerfield and The Hill. Students (in classroom “formal” dress) eat lunch at assigned tables with teachers four times per week. Announcements are made at the end of the lunch, and these run the extreme gamut in their theatricality. To use an old term, there is a palpable “esprit de corps” felt during these announcements, based on my limited experience in person and videos. There is only one “formal” sit down dinner per week, before Wednesday night Chapel. So, these meals comprise a key component of the communal rituals that animate the SAS philosophy.

I have to agree with Charger that the formal seated meals are a great part of some schools traditions and experiences.

Students sit with faculty and interact in assigned groups. Formal table manners are observed. The whole school eats as one unit. Nice perk of BS

Episcopal’s seated meals are the same as Charger78’s description of seated meals at St. Andrews, Deerfield and Hill.
