<p>I’m working on my main CommonApp essay. It’s about my struggle to find religion, through the lens of knocking on doors for the ______ campaign [I don’t want to take sides here 
]. In addition, it’s centered around one encounter I had. So is it:</p>

<p>Should I just go with “Topic of your choice”? Is that frowned upon by admissions?</p>

<p>I would go with number two, it seems to have the best fit.</p>
<p>It’s funny, myself and three others (close friends) are also writing essays on our “struggle to find religion.” And we were thinking it was an unpopular topic!</p>
