<p>Lots of students from American River College walk or take the bus. The college is surrounded by well-priced apartments and you can definitely make it by without a car.</p>

<p>Pasadena is where I go to. Glendale is the next city. They’re both good classes. Good programs too. I know that Pasadena was #2 in transfers when I was a freshman, SMC being the first.</p>

<p>The Red Line subway in LA has a stop that drops you off right on the campus of Los Angeles City College. very convenient especially if you live in north hollywood, macarthur park, koreatown or downtown.</p>
