which chem class to take????

chem 201 general chemistry or chem 207 (advanced general chemistry:Materials Chemistry) ???
I was thinking i should just take the introduction chem…but how much harder is chem 207???

Granted I am an '06, so it has now been a couple years since I took it. So minor things may have changed. My advice remains: TAKE 207, ESPECIALLY IF CAVA IS TEACHING IT. He won an Engineering Council teaching award my year, because he’s awesome. It’s pretty much the same material as 201, and the labs are identical and held at the same time. The additional materials science material fits in well with the rest of the curriculum, and it’s not a burden. Cava as a professor is the main reason to take 207… he’s very accessible, helpful, encouraging, and most importantly, FUNNY. I would tell you some of his more amusing moments, but that would give away the surprise, and I wouldn’t want to do that. Trust me, just take 207. If you have second thoughts after you’ve actually been in class a couple weeks, it shouldn’t be hard to switch back into 201. Really, though, I think 201 and 207 are quite similar in difficulty.

Don’t take it because it’s harder… take it because it’s better.
