<p>Okay, let’s think about it logically. You plan on taking a second and third grade math test, and you choose to either buy a second or third grade math textbook. The third grade book will most likely explain the concepts you should already know, as well as the new concepts, whereas the second grade book would only explain the second grade concepts, thus leaving you completely unprepared for the third grade test. So the question remains: which should you buy?</p>
