I’m a pretty shy guy around a group of people around one im fine but more im just shy, or reserved? Anyway I’d like to take class that forces me to get out of my shell. Which is good/best?

take a theater class.

usually people join clubs and things to meet people and be social.

but dont you have to try out for the class? Im not the best actor

A Speech class perhaps.

oh yeah, never mind. well, typically when you’re in a small class (<30), it’s easier to branch out and talk to people. try and find some small classes that interest you.

^ It also depends on class dynamics. If the rest of the class is untalkative, then that’s not helpful. You need some luck. But yeah, look around for interesting small classes anyway.

I’m thinking theater too…

Foreign languages. Kind of like theatre, since you have orals and have to talk and give little speeches. Super small classes, lots of fun.

decals-ppl talk more in them since theyre laid back/chill

Honestly, you’d probably be better off going to a party to get out of your shell versus taking a class. But I would agree with the suggestion of taking a theatre class.

Thanks for the recommendations, I think Ill try out a decal and look into a theater class. as for parties the only ones Ive been to have been co-op parties since I live there does anyone know a way of getting into frat parties?

Aren’t the co-op parties pretty crazy? Living in a co-op should be giving you the opportunity to be social. Anyways, I hear the way to get into a frat party is to bring a bunch of girls with you…

yea the co-op parties are crazy but theyre just not suitable for me besides you cant really hook up with girls cause word will spread, but thats a different topic hahaha

Yes, to get into a frat party you need to bring along girls. If that isn’t a possibility, you can also know people living in the house. The beginning of the semester when all of the fraternities are doing rush would be the easiest time to make connections. They will act welcoming and go out of their way to get to know you.

Frat parties are pretty easy to get into if you have girls with you. and if you want to randomly hook up with a girl, thats the place to go. There’s plenty of girls at frat parties who are more than willing. I’m a girl, trust me its a very do-able.

But yea, if you are looking for a class, I’d definately reccomend theatre 10. While you do have to audition to get in, it isnt very difficult. I’d say go for it!
