Which class should I take?

Hi everyone, I’m having a hard time deciding between two classes to take this semester. I’m a bio major (ecology/evolutionary bio track) and plan to go to graduate school. The two classes I’m choosing between are a bio class and Chinese. Taking more bio classes might help me get into a better graduate school, but this bio class I’m not sure how interested I would be in it, and I’m taking 3.5 other classes (1 lab) associated with the major this semester. Chinese I think I would enjoy and would be personally enriching, but it’s a class with a lot of work and I feel like I might have less time in the lab and on my other classes if I do take it. However, Chinese at my school is one of the best language classes offered and I hear great things about it. What should I do?

Take Chinese

Ditto. Every semester should have at least one non-major class for sanity’s sake.

The problem with taking Chinese though is that the work load can be very intense…which is the only reason I’m reluctant to take it.

Then take neither. Why are you asking a question when you’re going to challenge our suggestions?

If one is required, take that one; if both are required, take Chinese; if neither are required, spend the extra time in the lab.
