Hello, I’m freshman in High School. I’m interested in becoming a physician-scientist. I was wondering which one of the 4 above Colleges started above would help my chances to get into a MD-PHD program. I know that Stanford and Harvard are only 2 out of 4 to have medical schools, would going to those colleges helping my chances of getting into that college’s medical school’s MD-PHD program? I’m asking now because certain colleges have certain preferences on the students, e.g. Harvard prefers well rounded students, so I can shape my years in high school to help me get into a college that will increase my chances of getting accepted into an MD-PHD program.
Prestige of undergraduate institution has little to no bearing on medical school.
1)Any would be equally fine. The first trick will be gaining admission to any one of the colleges you asked about which each have an admission rate of under 10%.
2) As a freshman it is just to early to be thinking about this.
