Which college should I apply to!?

So, I’m planning on applying online today and I need to know which college has a higher acceptance rate. I’m planning on comp sci which is offered in both arts and sciences and engineering; where should I send my app!?

You should apply the one that matches your education goals more. Do you want a pre-professional type education in comp sci or a liberal arts education in comp sci?

The comp sci requirements are the same for the major in each college. However, each college has distribution requirements, which differ. In arts you will be learning a little of everything on top of your comp sci: math, history, language, science, etc. In engineering you will have engineering related requirements.

Engineering has a much higher acceptance rate than arts, but also better statistics for its accepted students. This is due to a smaller, more elite applicant pool in engineering–the pool is self selective–only the best apply.

Your best bet would be to apply to the school that matches your education better: a well rounded one or an engineering specific one.

ok, thanks a lot for the advice. Is there anyway to double major in cog sci and comp sci in the engineering school?

what sparty said is all true, but to expand, there are a lot unqualified apps to the college itself as it uses the common app, but for engineering, it would be only those who are interested in those subjects
