Which college should I go to in this scenario?

If I got into Cooper Union, Olin University, Columbia, and Cornell, where should I go?

In one aspect, Cooper and Olin offer free undergraduate tuition, and are respected colleges.
On the other hand, Columbia and Cornell are Ivy League schools, without free tuition.

Currently, I have 1 income coming into the family and a brother who is one year older and is a freshman in college. Finances are becoming quite important.

Thanks for the opinions.

Wait until financial aid packages come in.

I personally would choose Columbia because I know they will give me a good financial aid package if I got in (1 small income for family of five).

However if you get into the Ivy League they will give you good financial aid if you need it, so you can pick the one you like the best.

If you are going to grad school, pick the cheapest one.

I would probably choose Olin because it’s amazing.

Unless the one income is high, the privates could be close in cost, run your numbers.

I’d choose Franklin W. Olin College Of Engineering, best engineering school in the country, small, great campus life, and free!

Cooper Union may be tuition free, but you do have to pay room and board which is expensive since its in NYU, Olin is free for everything

Olin students pay for room, board, and required laptop computer.

The cost differences may not be all that much after aid.
