which college should I go to

Hey guys,
I got my admission decision. Got selected in 3 (yay) =D . But… i got into SUNY at buffalo, Jacobs university bremen and austin college. Jacobs is very affordable (though it aint too cheap). SUNY and Austin are good but they would require 25K per year at least. Since, I am an international student, I cant work to earn for the fees. But my parents are ready to pay for them(SUNY and AUstin) at all costs. Man, I am soo confused right now. Which one should I choose in your opinion and why?

And yeah, I have no intension to take a gap

Do research on all three. Weigh the pros and cons. Have you visited them all? If not, you should visit at least the top two so you can compare. What about your area of study? Whihc is best for, that? There is a lot you can do before asking strangers to make your decision for you.

If name recognition in your country is important, I’d go with SUNY Buffalo. Jacobs is in Germany, correct? Very different choices

@Lindagaf No, I haven’t visited any. US won’t give me visa to go visit them and I am in the waitlist for “To get a taste of Jacobs”. But thanks for your advice anyway. Appreciate it

@mamaedefamilia I am from Nepal and yeah there is not much scope for physics. Yes, Jacobs is in Germany. There is nothing(almost) common in these universities so it’s a tough call for me

Austin college will be in a smaller, nicer town, with warmer climate (hot and humid from April to October, mild the rest of the time - check whether the dorms are air conditioned). You’ll get more personal attention, more interactive classes.
Suny Buffalo is a very strong school for stem, less so for other subjects. It’s larger, with many more students and class choices. Classes will be larger (unless you got into honors college/can apply for it ?). There’s a sports culture, with well-attended sports games and rivalries. The city itself is still recovering from deindustrialisation. The weather is terribly cold and windy, but depending on where you’re from in Nepal, it may not feel as bad as to some feel it is here… But getting your face frozen off and wearing insulated mittens for 4-5months is fun for no one :).
Look at the list of majors : do they have yours ? (hopefully ! :p)
What about minors - do they have one or two you’d be interested in exploring ? What about ‘signature programs’? What about study -away programs - Can you study in another city in North America ? What about the depth of classes ? How many advanced classes do they offer in your major ? What about the core curriculum and general education requirements ?

@MYOS1634 No need to check if dorms are air conditioned at any college in Texas, lol. I have no doubt they are.

You’d be surprised. (yes, I didn’t think it’d be possible… As in… Unlivable… But… Better check because it exists… even if I don’t think a top notch private college would be among the casualties.)

You’re right, I would be very surprised, shocked even. What colleges in Texas have dorms without permanent AC? We Texans love our AC and can’t imagine not having it.
