We’re undecided between Ohio University and Marquette University. Been admitted to Engineering school in both colleges. Gotten decent financial aid on both schools; at Ohio our out of pocket expenses are just a little less (like $2000). Which school will be the best choice, which will be a better investment and have a better repay after finishing a degree?
Marquette will provide a better education. It is also only about an hour and a half from Chicago with all the opportunities available there.
OU is a good choice, nonetheless. Students really love it there.
Marquette is in a large city, but OU is small town. That might make a big difference.
Nationally, Marquette is better known, while OU has a tendency to be confused with Ohio State. So “name recognition” is definitely better for Marquette.
If I recall correctly, you live outside the US and have not been able to visit either of these two schools. If I were to choose one for you, I would go with Marquette.
We visited Marquette by end of February, haven’t visit any other school
