<p>Now that the PSAT-related emails are coming in, I’m wondering which colleges you especially like after reading the emails. Which college is informative and helpful? Which is silly or annoying? Which colleges have got on your radar screen by sending emails asking for you to respond?</p>
<p>I have to say that days after our first visit to U of Missouri, my D received personal letters from all the different people we met with, PERSONALLY signed. This was a HUGE deal to her! On the flip side, Baylor contacts my S several times a week(calls, emails, postcards, etc.), even though he has told them again and again he is NOT interested. How annoying!</p>
<p>Caltech’s e-mails and letters are really funny. I wish I’d saved them - there was one with a few haiku, and another that parodied the classic “we have the best students/academics/location/clubs EVER” letter.</p>

<p>Michigan State University is definitely a great college as far as mail/contacting you goes. They send you many pieces of actually useful information, and once you apply and are accepted, they send out a lot more updates in the mail than most others I’ve encountered. They call you and are very helpful and prompt, for being such a huge university. This is perhaps why it is one of my top choices</p>

<p>U of OK. We personally visited with one of the National Merit ladies a few months ago. This week I got a letter signed personally from her to come up and visit and check out OU. It is not the first letter/email I have gotten from the NM office at OU to come and visit after I already have. Obviously, she doesn’t cross-check her lists! I feel the love.</p>
<p>We’ve straightened things out with one college that sent my son emails that link to a response page with different name from his name. Now he is getting postal mail from that college, and I hope its email links are being checked by the technical staff.</p>
