I’d like to know which of the top colleges require applicants to submit their ENTIRE testing history? (e.g. UPenn)

Please feel free to post any college with the same score policy…

Hi all,

Pomona and Yale are two more

Please help completing the list:

Yale

Pomona

University of Pennsylvania

Georgetown University

Rice. From their website: “Therefore, we require all applicants submitting the SAT to submit all scores to Rice”.

MarkWGPSU:

Only SAT??? what about ACT or SAT II???

Any other colleges that require all test scores from all settings…

All the schools that have ‘no’ in the ‘Score Choice OK’ column you will need to send all scores. However, I would double check each individual school’s website to make sure that the info is accurate and up to date.

thank you ognopgod… very helpfull…

Ultimately, you must check the rules for each school to which you are applying. Majority of colleges allow you to send what you want. The rest are known as “all scores” colleges but what that means varies. It could mean all SAT, all ACT and all subject test scores (Upenn is in that category). It could mean all SAT and all subject tests or, alternatively, all ACT scores (Yale is that category). It could mean all SAT and all ACT but you can send whatever subject test scores you want to send (Stanford is in that group). It could mean all SAT tests but if you choose ACT you need to send only one and subject tests may not even be required or used at all.

In other words. the lists you find providing colleges views on “score choice” such as the one cited above and the one provided by the College Board, see http://professionals.collegeboard.com/profdownload/sat-score-use-practices-list.pdf, are only a starting point for determining what any particular college actually requires, for which a definitive answer can come only from the college. Moreover, even those lists must be taken with a grain a salt because they provide information only as of the date they are prepared and rules for particular colleges keep changing (e.g., the trend has been for some colleges that required all scores to go to no longer requiring them).
