Which Colleges to Consider?

<p>I’m only a Freshman, but I’ve learned from my older brother, a HS Senior, (who is attending USC next year) to start thinking about college early.
I should end the year with a 94ish UW GPA in every honors class I could possibly take, am taking all honors and an AP next year. ECs are JV Tennis and Swimming, relay for life, and I am planning to volunteer at a local hospital starting this summer. I’m not involved in any clubs but am planning to join some next year. I haven’t taken the ACT/SATs yet.
I’ve started thinking about what i’m looking for in a college-
-15-20,000 students max, preferably smaller
-Nice campus/surrounding area
-In or close to a city
-Reasonably selective
-Not a party school
-No huge classes
-Affordable (generous aid)
-Close enough to home (CO)
I’m planning to be a premed
My dream school is Pomona College but it only gives need-based aid and my family will qualify for little to none, so its not really an option because of cost.
Which colleges should I start looking into?
(don’t tell me i’m too young to be thinking about it, because i am anyways)</p>

<p>Colorado College?</p>

<p>Are you looking for a liberal arts college, a technological university or something else? Do you have an idea about a specific major? If you want smallish technological universities, you can look at the [Association</a> of Independent Technological Universities: AITU](<a href=“http://www.theaitu.org%5DAssociation”>http://www.theaitu.org) schools. The smaller ones do offer merit-based aid.</p>

<p>I am looking for either a Liberal Arts college or a smallish University. i’m not too sure about a specific major at this point, but for sure something that satisfies the premed requirements. probably biology or something similar.</p>

<p>

You want aid but don’t qualify for FA so you’ll need to rely on merit. Look at these threads:

Do well on the PSAT so you can qualify for some NMF scholarships.</p>
