<p>My local CC offers Elementary Stat I (Math 115), Elementary Stat II (Math 215), and Business Calc (Math 118)</p>
<p>On Temple’s recommended course sequence, it has business calc and business stat. </p>
<p>Do you guys think Business Stat is equivalent to my CC’s Elementary Stat I.? Also which should I take first, Business Calc or Elementary Stat.? Or should/could I take them during the same semester without having to know one before the other.?</p>
<p>You don’t need calc before stats. I had calc at some point in high school, but didn’t remember any of it by the time I took statistics my sophomore year of college and I received an A in the course. </p>
<p>As to whether it’s the same as your CC class, you should compare syllabi, as this is what Temple will do if you transfer it in there. There may be some minor differences, but my guess is that a level 100 stats course will be fairly similar at a CC as at a 4-year university. Contacting the department head (if you’re already a Temple student) or admissions advisor (if you’re looking to transfer there) will get you a definite answer.</p>
