<p>I’ve worked around the community a lot and I get involved with groups such as Stockton Symphony (Should a get a letter of Recommendation from one of the staff?) and I know a lot of people by engaging in business conversations that involve my clubs or I just want to work with them.</p>
<p>I’m also leading projects such as a movie filming with professional film makers and I’m composing music for a friend’s movie for his porfolio for Academy of Arts. (Can I mention that?)</p>
<p>I want to get into a Computer Science and Engineering Major so I can program software or design hardware and gadgets (such as smartphones and tablets and other things like that)
Filmmaking is another choice that I might do.
Then there’s a music major.
It’s mainly the computer major I will do but the others are my back up choice.</p>
<p>Don’t just stop with CSUs and UCs, which colleges in general would I have a good chance in?
Universities such as University of the Pacific, and other private colleges…</p>
<p>Since you CSU eligibility index is 3.91 * 800 + 610 + 620 = 4358, SJSU CS/CE/SE would have to get a lot more popular for it to be anything other than an admissions safety for you (but check affordability).</p>
<p>Other CSUs (other than the non-impacted CSUs like Bakersfield, Dominguez Hills, East Bay, Monterey Bay, and Stanislaus where minimum CSU eligibility means admission) and UCs are not as transparent (and may depend on things like evaluation of the essay), so you have to check the profiles of admitted students to get an idea of your chances. Note that most or all CSUs and many UCs admit by major or division, so overall selectivity may be different from the selectivity of the CS major (especially if it is in the engineering division).</p>
<p>Here goes:
Except for Cal Poly SLO, you should be in at all CSU’s you apply to.</p>
<p>UCB, UCLA, UCSD - There is a very slim chance at getting into any of these.
UCD, UCSB, UCI - not the worst chance
UCSC - you have a great chance going here
UCM, UCR - you’re in</p>
<p>To get into UCD, UCSB, and UCI, you’ll need the ACT you took to be 27+ to give you a better chance. If it’s not and you really want to go to these schools, take the SAT in December and get an 1800+. Good luck!</p>
