I’ve heard there are certain key words in humanities classes (such as “Math” or “Logic”) which disqualify them from being used for humanities credits in certain Engineering departments. Does anyone know which departments disqualify what words?

[Michigan Engineering | Core Requirements](http://www.engin.umich.edu/bulletin/uged/reqs.html)

Scroll down to the “Definitions and Exceptions” section.

Here’s a link that was on the IOE dept website. http://ioe.engin.umich.edu/degrees/ugrad/ugdocs/HUSS_Courses_CoE_Fall_2008.xls It only lists 4 philosophy classes, only 1 highlighted green. What does this mean? The only contest given for this file is “HU & SS Information - [.xls file]”

The IOE student guide makes no additional requirements, which is what has me confused.

That excel sheet also seems to not include any languages…

The ones highlighted green were offered in Fall 2008. The reason you only see 4 philosophy classes is that there are two tabs in the spreadsheet. You’re looking at social sciences, the rest of the philsophy (and language) courses are under the humanities tab.

Ahhh… Thank you.
