<p>Michigan doesn’t usually. It’s typically not too hard to get a GSI position though, and then you’re subsidized.</p>

<p>The general consensus in the graduate school forum seems to be that “engineering master’s students are rare funded.”</p>
<p>Keep in mind that while there are a few where the whole school trends this direction, the vast majority of cases vary not by school but by department within the school.</p>
