Which engineering major to go into?

I’m going to be starting college at Columbia at the end of this month as an engineering major. We don’t need to choose what type of engineer we want to study until the middle of sophmore year. But i’ve been thinking between Biomedical, Chemical, and Computer Engineering.

The Biomed Engineering major isn’t ABET accredited, but they are working on it. I was just wondering the importance of ABET accrediation in the field of biomedical engineering.

Also, Chemical Engineering is ABET accredited, and I was wondering how important it is in this field, as well as Computer Engineering.

Furthermore, I was also thinking about going into a business school after undergrad… do business schools see those three majors at different levels and perhaps lean their acceptances towards one of the majors such as Computer Engineering?

most people interested in biomed go into electrical engineering then take medical classes. That way their career options are more open.
