<p>I already submitted the common app, with an essay about me dealing with my mom’s health problems. For my supplement essay I dont know if I should use one about my academic passion for computer science research, or my essay about community service/congressional seminar. I know colleges like to see passion and initiative, which is more in my research essay, but I dont know if thats kind of redundant with the many science awards I’ve won. So would the supplement essay then be better spent on my service side? Any input would be greatly appreciated.</p>
<p>Submit whichever one is more interesting and more unique to YOU. Pick the essay that tells a story that only you could tell. Harvard probably gets thousands of essays about both community service and science research every year, so the best way to stand out is to pick whichever essay is more personal/unique and better reflects your voice and personality.</p>
