In my opinion, Indian food is the best, with Mediterranean at a close second place. A lot of the Indian restaurants, honestly, make me vomit. It’s so bad and it’s just plain cheap trash. If you go to a quality ZAGAT rated Indian restaurant (i.e. Tabla), it actually tastes really good.

I really can’t stand Chinese food. Yes, it’s different, but so plain and tasteless. I HATE sushi.

Feel free to add more groups and subgroups as you go. But I think these are the most popular.

Eye talian food and German food are the only truly ethnic foods that are any good in my opinion. Bastardized American versions are sometimes truly superior to the actual ethnic foods (look at Chinese food and Mexican, ie Taco Bell and Chipolte)

German food? We Americans eat German and Italian food all the time without knowing it: hot dogs, pizza, hamburgers, pasta, apple strudel, doughnuts (well that’s actually Dutch), etc. LOL you’re right about the American versions of food.

O I forgot to put Mexican on the list. Whatever, just add to the ones you like best. You don’t have to have only one favorite, but try to limit it if you can. I guess popularity is also a factor, but then again, the better a certain ethnic cuisine, the more popular it will be.

Persian ! Nothing comes close to chelo kabob with that white rice (on the surface yellow), coupled with melted butter, somaagh, (brown ordinance mm),onions, green leaves, hot tomatoes, and the best part, a train-sized BEEF fluff lying on top of all it! Need I go on? Btw, check out this special rize, it’s brown hard crisp and yellow delicious undertone, it’s phenomenal when you taste it: http://www.■■■■■■■■■■/photos/nahidyoussefi/18159651/

Also, Mexican food is a classic. Love enchilladas, Mexican Pizzas, and the like. No Taco bell, but more high-end. So good.

Edit:
*Persian food is more Mediterranean than anything else, and the people are more Mediterranean-like even if they are from West/Central Asia. They are also close to the Middle East.
*Slavic/Eastern European: Their food is similar to people from the Mediterranean. The Balkans is in the Mediterranean, but it contains a mix of Turkish, Greek, and Eastern European. People from the Balkans and Middle East both eat baklava, gyros, and some other foods. But then again you have food like cevapi and goulash which are clearly Eastern European.
*A lot of people in the Carribean are Spanish, but not all.

Should I have made that distinction between Japanese and Chinese? I honestly can’t see much of a difference save the wasabi and teriyaki.

^ 9 people have answered, and 8 of them chose absolute favorites. 9 people have had a total of 18 choices. The 8 who chose absolute favorites either chose Indian or Mediterranean.

This should be the last bit of formatting I’ll do to keep track of this confusing thread.*

^ lol I realized that but I couldn’t edit it later. I know some main differences are wasabi, teriyaki, and sushi. The Japanese also eat a lot more fish, whereas the Chinese eat a lot of pork and some other domesticated animals (i.e. duck) in addition to fish. Sorry about that. It was my mistake.
