Which faculty members are involved in the admissions process?

I know many of you don’t know the answer to my question, but I was actually just seeking some opinions for this other question of mine. So, is it reasonable to think Penn would have an economics professor read one of my essays if I did indicate I would likely major in Economics? Or do you believe Penn has an established group of instructors who review applications regardless of relevancy to their field of expertise?

I’m pretty sure that the admissions office have their own group of special counselors read over the essays. None of them are professors and they are usually Penn graduates of some kind.

I was told by my regional director that they review your application with a representative of the school you applied to (wharton, cas, e.t.c)
