Which GPA do colleges look at?

Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding GPA. I go to the best public school in my state and it uses below 70 as failing instead of the normal below 65. For this reason the GPA scale is different. For instance I have a 88 GPA and at my school it is equivalent to a 3.0 but correct me if i’m wrong at most other schools that would be around a 3.5. Will the admissions officers look at that as a 3.0 or a 3.5? I’m looking to apply to the University of Miami and i’m wondering if anyone has specific knowledge of this, at this school.

You will be evaluated according to the grading policy at your school. I would recommend that you see your GC and obtain a copy of your school profile that they send to the college. This is what the colleges will be looking at when evaluating your application.
