Which GPA do I enter for major application..?

So I’m applying for a major (I’m already accepted to the school) as a transfer student. I had academic forgiveness applied to two of my classes at my community college which obviously raised my GPA. They have “E” next to them. So for the application, they want my unofficial transcript and for me to physically type in my GPA. My problem is I’m not sure if I should type in my unofficial GPA (which is higher) or my official GPA (which I don’t even know what it would be). My CC said that my forgiveness would not carry over to other schools.

I emailed this concern to a counselor and she said to just put what GPA I have at my CC… But I basically have two…

I don’t know what to do. My unofficial transcript says my GPA is 3.5. Would I just put 3.5? If that’s the wrong GPA, would they rescind me, or just let me know and figure it out?

Why not contact the new school and ask them how they would like for you to handle that?

Your “official” GPA is the one on your transcript, so I would put that one in. The new school will see the forgiven classes when they review the transcript.

Do the courses show an E and 0 credit hours? These are usually not computed in the GPA. Are they calculated in the revised transcript? The transfer school usually does not compute the E, 0 credit hour courses into the GPA. Contact your transfer school to be certain.
