Which GPA do I report?

My GPA on my unofficial transcript is 3.57. My official transcript lists 3.578, however. I’ve always listed it 3.57 on my CV or resume because I’d never seen my official ts before, nor bothered to actually calculate it to the thousands place. When I report it to schools now, should I round up to 3.58? Should I change my CV?

Another unrelated question; I didn’t do any undergrad research and I don’t have too much biology research experience in industry. Most of it has been developing end-user products, so it’s not exactly biology at the truly molecular level. I did, however, take an upper-division biology lab class for my field. Should I talk about what “projects” I did in that class in my personal statement?

Don’t ever round your GPA, up or down. Report what it says on your official transcript – in this case a 3.578. Both Industry and Grad School won’t take kindly to you reporting anything different than what they look at to verify your credentials.

No one is going to care about the last decimal place. Seriously. Worry about bigger things.
