Which GPA will be sent to colleges?

<p>My school uses a different GPA system from the usual 4.0 one. Will theirs be sent to the colleges I apply to instead of the 4.0 one?</p>

<p>Check with your high school but almost certainly it will report based on the system that it uses. Also, school usually sends with transcript a school profile that explains system used, courses available (including AP/honors), and other information about the academics of the school. Moreover, colleges likely have admissions experience with school from years past. In other words, do not assume that you will have an advantage or disadvantage in relation to applicants from other schools based on GPA system used.</p>

<p>All right, thanks. I hope they send ours because so far I have an upward trend with that, whereas in the 4.0 one I do not (unless it is weighed).</p>
