Which Grades should I have to be considerate a good candidate?

I want to study outside my country. (Mexico)
I really want to study Mechanical Engineering in one of this Universities:
-UBC.
-McGill.
-Purdue University.
-Texas A&M.
-University of Illinois At Urbana Champaign.
But I don´t how to be considerate as a competitive candidate, in terms of GPA, SAT SCORES, etc.
Please help me!

Google Common Dataset for each college which will give the average Test scores and GPA for enrolled students.

You could also Google “Freshman Profile” for each school and you should get the information you need.

For the Canadian schools the minimum requirements are on their websites.

Look at the 75% for scores and GPA for these schools, and aim to be above that. You are international, so you have to be above. Luckly, you are an URM (underrepresented minority) which means that this will give you an easier time getting into these colleges than if you were white or asian.

@ConcernedRabbit There are no hooks at Canadian universities. URM is irrelevant. At American colleges URM may help to American applicants, not internationals.

@TomSrOfBoston I didn’t know that! I’ve just heard of Ivy leagues recruiting a lot of top students from Africa in order to boost their racial diversity, so I was thinking that maybe schools liked taking international from non-european/non-asian countries more than the other way around.
