Which High School for Harvard? I have 8 hours

I am in eighth grade and I am facing the toughest choice of my life; two high schools that both offer amazing things. Let me begin. The first school that I am looking at is a Jewish School, which I socially enjoy, and could DEFINITELY be the top there. I would take pre-calc in 9th grade, and the headmaster said he would get me a private tutor to learn programming. Also, I would be on the debate and basketball teams there. Did I mention I get a full scholarship for all four years? Next, we have Pine Crest. Ranked 2nd in the country, over half of their student populous gets into ivies. Now, whats to say I’ll be at the top amongst them? Nothing. Also, it is 25k a year… Pine Crest has a huge wait list and is giving me a day left to decide. Now, my doubt is this; the Jewish school does not get people into such good schools, but then again, wouldn’t me being valedictorian and all, and having internships in computer progging with important people make Harvard highly consider me? Also, I feel that I could take more time preparing for the SAT in the Jewish school. What do you guys think about this? I have one day to decide. I am leaning a bit more toward the Jewish school because I shadowed both schools and liked the Jewish school more (I was answering all the senior math questions!) but felt that Pine Crest was cold (in the emotional sense). I really appreciate all help. Which school do I have more chance of getting into Harvard in?

Again, I have ONE day to decide for Pine Crest or not.

The Jewish School for sure. Rankings in high school don’t mean that much, especially if it means more competition. It sounds like you’d be able to stand out more there anyway

I believe the Jewish school might be a better fit…

Yes, maybe the Jewish school…It’s not the school it is what you make out of it. Study hard, take the hardest classes you can, colleges look at what you do compared to the others in your school, how you make the most of what is available to you. Take the extra time to prepare for the SAT and do some things out of school.

Jewish school but be prepared to do a lot of things on your own initiative like research, writing, big service things, etc. The culture there might be more lax, so try to keep your eyes on the prize
