Which is a More Prestigious Program/School?

I’m conflicted as to what school/program to apply to and hence I am curious as to which is the most prestigious (or could you rank them in order of prestige?): The Liberal Studies Core Program, The Stern School of Buisness, CAS, or the Gallatin School?

Thanks

Follow your interests, not how prestigious a program is…

Very well, but I’m curious is all.

I’d probably say:

Stern, CAS, Gallatin, LSP

Who cares about undergrad prestige, though? They are all very respectable programs.

Now is the LSP in the CAS or do you matriculate in after the two year program is complete?

LSP is its own program now and I have met fellow LSP students on-track for every school, except for Stern. However, they changed the program this year so Sternies take LSP-like classes for their GEds.

You’re promised an acceptance to the original school you signed up for after you’re done with LSP, provided that you keep your GPA a 3.0 or up. If you have decided to go to another NYU school, there’s a very easy process that allows you to apply to the other school of your choice.

When it comes to your original question, prestige doesn’t matter. Tisch is fantastic, but if you’re not into the Fine Arts it’s not going to be a pleasant experience. Neither will Stern if you’re not seriously interested in business. Despite what some ill-informed individuals may say, all NYU schools have wonderful, high-ranking programs. You’re going to get a great education no matter what you decide to study.
