<p>Hey everyone, I need to decide where I want to live and I’m up in the air with Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Which is better/nicer to live in. Opinions will be helpful!</p>
<p>Hard to generalize about Mass. Are we talking Boston? Berkshires? Cape Cod? City or small town? Lots of variety there. (Though these days I’d probably just pick the state with the lower sales and income tax rates.)</p>
<p>Will you be working somewhere? If so, how’s the commute from one place to the other?</p>
<p>I’d be teaching. I have to apply to different school but I’m looking at cities like Salem, Peabody and Quincy in mass. And in rhode island I’m looking at Pawtuckit, providence and Warwick</p>
<p>Because of Prop 2 lots of schools in MA have been shedding teachers and closing. I’m not familiar with the towns you have on your list, but I know things are bad in Gloucester where my brother lives. OTOH, Gloucester and that area is a really nice place to live if you like playing on the water.</p>
