Which is harder to get into AEM or ILR?

any info is appreciated. thanks!

more specifically, which one is more impacted and what are the minimum stats to get in to either program?

I’m not sure about the “toughness” when it comes to admissions…but in response to your question about min. stats, I don’t think you should rely on that…they’re just numbers! If you are planning on applying and you know for a fact that you are absolutely interested and have what it takes that sets you apart…you should be fine…
Sure there are stats, but don’t just not apply because you feel your stats aren’t up to par with the rest …I think the admissions look deeper than just plain numbers…lol GL!

http://admissions.cornell.edu/downloads/2010_profile.pdf</a> this is just a general profile…not sure if they have stats for each specific school…hmm…

One thing I know is that if you apply to ILR you really do need to be interested in the school or you won’t get in. ILR is one of those schools that go way beyond the numbers and see if you are really passionate about the subject or not.

the same with AEM. you won’t get in if you don’t show your interest in the major somehow. AEM has got to be more selective.

I think aem takes a smaller percentage of students, but the average scores of students in the program really aren’t that high. Not sure how they compare between the two programs, though.

And isn’t AEM the one where you can write down your second choice major/school in case you don’t get in? Thinkin that might be AEM…

yes, CALS has that offer. and AEM is one of their majors.
