Which is more dificult, FAFSA or CSS?

<p>I recently completed the CSS by myself and soon I’ll be moving on to the FAFSA. There’s an info session I can go to in a few days but if the FAFSA has the same or easier wuestions than CSS, I suppose it’ll be pointless.</p>

<p>Is the FAFSA harder than the CSS?</p>

<p>I think they are about the same. If you’ve completed one, you should be able to do the other. The FAFSA website has a worksheet. You can print that out and fill in the blanks. If you have all of the info, you’re all set to do the FAFSA.</p>

<p>The FAFSA was pretty quick for me, but that’s b/c we don’t have much :/</p>

<p>If you’ve already finished the CSS, I believe there’s a FAFSA help spreadsheet you can print out that tells you which CSS questions match up to FAFSA’s. I found that helpful.</p>

<p>This years fafsa was much easier. Apparently ,according to FA office, they took a lot of questions out and simplified the form. Took me under 10 mins to completely fill out and send it in.</p>

<p>I think the Profile is harder. I detest filling it out.</p>

<p>If for no other reason, the $25 (or more) fee makes Profile more difficult.</p>

<p>Actually let me reword that. CSS is much more ridiculous and tedious than FAFSA. I hate it lol. CSS asks how much money you currently have in your wallet and in the second drawer next to your bed that you occasionally give to your kids for lunch.</p>

<p>While, FAFSA only really cares about what’s on paper.</p>

<p>i.e if you have your 2008 income tax form, along with W-2. FAFSA shouldn’t take that long to fill out.</p>

<p>If you have have 2008 income tax form for CSS, you will still need your parents and six dead realtives to completely fill it out accurately.</p>

<p>Profile was MUCH harder! spent way more time on it. Fafsa took about 15 min…probably because I had the Profile already done.</p>

<p>FAFSA is really easy to fill out. It’s a LOT shorter than the CSS profile too.</p>

<p>CSS profile is REALLY confusing. I got frustrated, so I went to my counselor for help. : )</p>

<p>Lol, I’ve never heard a better description of the CSS. Filling out was a complete headache. i submitted to one school, realized I made a huge mistake and had to make a completely different yahoo and collegeboard account to redo the entire thing for my other schools.</p>

<p>I’m so glad the FAFSA easier. I’ll probably do it on Saturday.</p>
