Which is more impressive to colleges?

Hi, I am currently a junior in high school. I am interested in attending an ivy league school and studying science. Which is more impressive?

To take online AP high school courses

OR

Apply to take courses at a university I am considering. (MIT, Princeton, Brown, Harvard)

Thanks, greatly appreciated

The one that you would enjoy more is more impressive.

But to be technical, doing BOTH would be the most impressive.

IMO taking courses at the actual university would be more impressive , or at least give them a better idea of how you are as a student, assuming that the program is run by the university itself and not a separate entity. It’s also more useful; if you plan to apply to those universities, what better way than to spend a summer there? It shows you’re very interested in attending x university.

*“what better way to get to know the environment” sorry I grammar Nazi myself.
