Which is more impressive?

I’m a junior in high school and I recently signed up for my senior classes. I am struggling in choosing between Digital Arts Honors or Leadership. Digital arts is weighted while leadership isn’t. However Leadership required an application process and I got accepted. All of my other classes are either IB or AP so I needed a class to keep me sane. Which class should I choose? I am torn.

Choose whichever one interests you more and in which you can get a good grade. Do not choose a class to impress a hypothetical admissions officer; that is just folly.

Agree with skieurope completely. Your application is a story you are telling admissions about who you are. Which of these classes is the more accurate reflection of you and your goals?

Well, I think Digital Arts Honors is probably more useful (in that any permutation of graphic design will serve you well in the future), but if you were accepted specially to Leadership and it’s something you’re passionate about, go for it.

Take the course that you are the most interested in. Use this time to learn about things you wouldn’t usually get a chance to learn about. Don’t worry about weighting (unless your desire is to become valedictorian)

I agree with the others. Do what you are interested in or the one that will keep you most sane. You don’t have to pick weighted. My kids took journalism for their break during the day from all APs and ended up at great colleges so it didn’t hurt them.

Do what is more interesting to you. If you’re passionate about art, go digital arts. That bump is nice, too. However, I don’t think that an honors would look better than a leadership course. Obviously, I don’t know, but I think leadership in addition all your advanced courses would show that you’re high performing and a good leader, which is something admissions officers like

Do what really interests you. Do whichever you’ll be passionate about.

I’d lean toward DA Honors due to its utility, but as the others have said, take the one that interests you more.
