Which is more likely to accept a student?

<p>An Ivy League school such as Princeton, Yale, or Harvard or the Service Academies? I am just wondering.</p>

<p>Just trying to pull this out of the cobwebs of memory, here, but my recollection is that the service academies have a slighty higher acceptance rate. However both HYP and the service academies are extremely hard to get into.</p>

<p>“Which is more likely to accept a student?” Your question is posed in what context? Numerically, the rate of acceptance is smaller at ivies than the service academies. But the service academies are very self-selective as to who applies.</p>

<p>While there is a great deal of crossover on what the sets of schools are looking for there is one difference. The academies require a student to be involved in some kind of sports. Not necessarily true of the Ivies.</p>
