I am confused with the question which is the best SUNY for undergraduate math,Stonybrook, buffallo or binghamton?
Stonybrook has the highest rank in US.NEWS math program. But it is just a grad rank which is not always true to undergraduate ones.

bump bump bump

It’s really so hard to say… math is a program that’s going to be similar in a lot of places. You might want to visit the campuses, or check the Web sites and at least e-mail a faculty member, to get a better idea. Our math director at Stony Brook is Scott Sutherland; his information is here: [Scott Sutherland’s missing home page](Scott Sutherland's very old (but semi-current) home page)

The department’s page is here: [Stony Brook Mathematics](<a href=“Stony Brook Mathematics Department and Institute for Mathematical Sciences | Mathematics Department and the Institute for Mathematical Sciences”>Stony Brook Mathematics Department and Institute for Mathematical Sciences | Mathematics Department and the Institute for Mathematical Sciences)

Good luck in your search.

The SUNY Binghamton math department is… eh. I took a few courses as an engineering student - wasn’t pleased.

Stony Brook is by far the most distinguished SUNY in the natural sciences. But it is also very centered on research and graduate education, so that may hurt you. While Stony Brook may have the most prominent mathemeticians, Geneseo or Binghamton may give you more one-on-one attention.

Where do you find the us news rankings that say what schools are good for each major?
