<p>Don’t you sometimes wonder what advertisers are thinking when they make commercials? I can’t decide which I am most annoyed with - “Gain is Gooder” or the HHGregg singing whatever-it-is figure. Any others that make you mute the tv?</p>
<p>Glad I have not seen these. The one ad that really made me yell at DH to mute his computer was a 30-second Google Chrome ad with really annoying music that CNN played every 5 minutes on their website (DH likes to watch CNN on the computer). No Google Chrome for me!!!</p>
<p>“The more you know, the more you Kohl’s” makes me so mad that I actually avoid shopping there.</p>
<p>There is an Aamco commercial where drivers are making annoying sounds to explain to the technician what their cars are doing. It’s awful and annoying. We mute it every time. And to make matters worse, for a while they were playing it twice in a row.</p>
<p>The one I hate is the toilet paper commercial (is it Charmin’?) with the bear who has little bits of toilet tissue stuck to his butt. Way to gross me out! And the slogan is something like “Enjoy the go!”. Yuck!</p>
<p>I hate the drug commercial, with the full disclosure that they rant through the whole comercial. “can cause seizure, heart attacks, in some instances death. May cause blindness, rashes and may make condition worse, but we think this drug can help you, just speak with your healthcare provider for more information”.</p>
<p>I can’t stand that LUVS Diapers commercial that uses the Whoomp! (There it is) tune for “Poop! (There it is)”. Ugh!</p>
<p>There was an old ad on TV (don’t remember and can’t find the product) with the actress who played Agent 99 on the old Get Smart show. She was trying to say that whatever it was she was selling was exciting, wonderful, interesting, all good things. The word she used was “Soporific.” Which means “tending to dull awareness.” Maybe that’s not the worst, but it sure is an interesting mistake! Someone was trying to sound brilliant and was really pretty ignorant… ;)</p>
<p>Can’t stand the Potty Dance song, the Beggin Strips Dog, or the local ad with a man’s voice screeching like Billy Mays. Not very effective advertising, as I hit the “mute” button instantly. You’d think they’d get the point that loud annoying sounds don’t capture people’s attention; they make them turn off the sound.</p>
<p>I also deplore how they make commercials louder than the show. Can you tell I’m not big on noise?</p>
<p>We mute all commercials and use the time to get a snack, check email, empty the dishwasher, etc. Hate being “sold” things I don’t want or need.</p>
<p>Except maybe during Superbowl when there might be a funny commercial or two…</p>
<p>I get queasy when I see those magazine ads for toenail fungus treatments. Yuck. Just yuck.</p>

Is there really a place where two people sit naked in side by side outdoor bathtubs?</p>

<p>There’s a toilet paper commercial that says it “not only gets you clean but keeps you clean”, meaning your HAND!!! Incredible!</p>

<p>Are those the things the 30 second skip button on the DVR gets rid of? I don’t think I’ve watched one in four years.</p>
<p>On the computer, I won’t go to any site with a commercial longer than 15 seconds.</p>

<p>I know. I’ve been known to change the channel from an enjoyable show because of this I can’t stand it so much.</p>
<p>I hate all the commercials that depict men as the clown of the household, and women as condescending witches. No one is going to sell me anything that way.</p>
<p>I bought sofas from Bob’s Discount Furniture. S liked them until he found out where they came from - then he said he was going to refuse to sit on them, because Bob’s ads are SO awful! I actually swore I would never shop there… I had to go to 3 other stores and NOT find what I wanted or could afford before I could bring myself to walk through the door and go into Bob’s. I bought from them in spite of their ads, instead of because of them!</p>
<p>Now there’s some Direct TV ad with a weird guy with a russian accent in a mansion lifting weights with a miniature giraffe on a treadmill… ??? 
Just makes me glad I have cable.</p>
