I am a junior in high school who will have a competitive ivy league application. However if I could run, all the better for my admission. I’m not that great, what schools have the slowest women’s teams and what would their average times be?

You should be able to figure this out for yourself by looking at the results of various team and league meets. This is a good resource:

[TFRRS | Track & Field Results Reporting System](<a href=“TFRRS | College Track & Field Results”>TFRRS | College Track & Field Rankings and Meet Results)

xgive, this is something you should spend some time on yourself. Visit each team’s track page and look at the bios of the women who currently run your event, their high school performances, and their current year in school. This will tell you what you need to know. Targeting the weakest team in the league in hopes of getting recruited is a bit wrong-headed, because that’s the coach most motivated to recruit the fastest girls! I’ll say this: the Princeton women have been strong in XC for a number of years and would be especially hard to be recruited to. If you need help once you’ve done a little looking around, ask away.

Also look at this guide for recruiting standards. The Ivies are somewhere between the DI numbers for “Tier 1 recruit” and Tier 1 walk on"

Thank you for your information. The bluntness of my post may have made it seem as if I haven’t been looking at all, however I have. I was wondering the general scope and opinions of users on here. Thank you, river and minoa.

Hey, minoa, that link is an amazing resource for looking up each school’s top competitor in each event. Thanks for posting it.

great link! Much better than looking a team websites, cool running, athletic.net …thanks.

It’s a fun/easy way to follow various teams/athletes during the season to see how they do each week.
