Hi i’m probrably either double majoring or minoring in a language. Which language do you think appeals to employees the most? I think i’m going into chinese simply because most of our jobs and products are shipped overseas from there. But I don’t know, should I just pick whichever language I feel most comfortable?

If you plan to work for large international business, then yes Chinese is a good call. If on the other hand you just want to work for a regional business based out of say the Southwest, then Spanish is a much better choice.

I say go with whichever language you’re most comfortable. If you take an Intro. Chinese course and love it, go with it! If you hate it, drop, because chances are you won’t learn it too efficiently.

The most in-demand languages are Chinese, Arabic, Spanish and German. Any knowledge of these languages will be good in the business world.

Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian
I would say, pick one culture that you enjoy learning about and become fluent in it. If you know the culture, language and customs… there will be room in a corporation that deals in that nation for you.

Arabic, Chinese, and Russian are in high demand.
