Which major for these highly selective colleges?

Hello, I was wondering if I should apply to Brown and Cornell under neuroscience or engineering?

I am a hispanic female with a 30 ACT (I know that’s low for these schools but I just want to try my luck) and I’m just wondering if applying under a certain major would make me a more competitive applicant or if just applying for a major in a less competitive field would give me a better shot.

Any thoughts?

As you know, Brown is very hard to get into, and which major you pick isn’t going to improve your chances. You will be applying to the college for either major, no separate admission to the school of engineering. They are also both very popular majors.

Part of the attractiveness of Brown is that it does let you explore, so there’s no reason why you can’t put them both down as prospective majors.

Yeah, that’s why I like Brown :)
