Which major has the highest avg gpa?

How many people at UCLA actually take these courses anyway?

SCAND 2 and SCAND 5 have 6 and 5 people enrolled respectively this quarter.

Out of curiosity, what are Scandinavian Studies? History relating to Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland? Languages of one or more of the above? Literature relating to one or more of the above? Philosophy? Drama?

I read English, and back in my day, it was a slowly dying major, although the so-called “dead” languages had really been buried major-wise (seriously, they killed off Latin, but you could still periodically take a class in Celtic languages – I wanted to take Breton but they were sticking to more the Irish and Welsh offshoots).

My son wants to take Norwegian, but all they offer at Berkeley is Swedish.

just browse the course catalog online at the registrar’s site. it’s got the required classes for every major and then you can look up what those specific classes are, to get a better idea of the scope of the major.

i would consider studying czech, but, i don’t see its marketable appeal lol. part of my heritage however.

what about anthropology?

i heard its babysitting
maybe janitorial studies

Which major has a higher average gpa, Physics or Neuroscience?

Probably Neuroscience since the curves are steeper and the math and sciences are “purer” for physics - that and physics requirements overlap with that of engineers who have notoriously low GPAs. . . as opposed to weeded-out Pre-Med Neuroscience kids.

Oh I see. Overall which major would be better to go with out of the two. I love both physics and neuroscience. I was planning on majoring in Physics and doing Pre-med on the side. But as it turns out, that is just too much. So any suggestions ?

How is the econ average gpa?

GPA will get destroyed. It’s hard enough with pre-med neuroscience.

Electrical Engineering

Proof: Just look at the number of students that joined TBP this year.

What’s the point of pursuing a major you don’t like for its highest GPA? Law School? Isn’t that a waste of four years and thousands of dollars? Is anyone seriously going to pursue Scandinavian because of Ari’s allegations? If so, you’re a complete idiot.

Whatever. Your education is your own business.

So are you suggesting Pre-Med Neuroscience over Pre-med Physics? Can a neuroscience degree get you anywhere say if you dont get into med school. Speaking of that, I heard PyscoBio is the easiest major to do Pre Med with?

there are some who say neuroscience is the hardest life science-type major on campus.

Is that true? So should I just stick with Physics and do Pre-Med alongside that?

Who says Physics is any easier?

You want to do physics with pre-med? That’s probably harder than some engineering majors. Tradition doesn’t fade in this case. If you’re doing pre-med, stick with a biology-related field that you like, and what happens is what happens. If your true calling is medicine, you will succeed in a biology major. That doesn’t necessarily hold true for physics. If you’re worried about competition to get into medical school, then medical school probably isn’t right for you. Don’t you think that so many other people have tried to go on an “easy” major track to medical school? Are the biology/pre-med kids at UCLA and every other major university in the country idiots or something for not following that ingenious idea? There’s a reason why they chose biology, and why they end up getting into medical school, in the first place.
