Which major in the engineering department do you recommend?

<p>I am admitted by the Civil and Environmental Engineering. It’s a pretty cool major. But I have read some article stating that the working environment for the civil engineers is not very comfortable. The income is not very satisfactory considering the intensity of labor and frequently leaving home. And the civil engineers sometimes have to write tedious report and negotiate with the officials. The demand for civil engineers is not very large in the US comparing with the those of EE and CS, therefore the salary is relatively low. Is that true? Which major in the engineering department do you recommend?</p>
