I was wondering.

In terms of applicants, Anthropology (B.A.) receives hundreds more than Geography

[Profile of Admitted Transfer Students by Major, Fall 2010 - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/adm_tr/Tr_Prof10_mjr.htm)

Hi,

Evidently, however, a higher percentage of the applicants for Anthropology (B.A) is higher than the percentage of applicants for Geography. Thus, although the Anthropology receive many applicants (473 individuals in 2010), majority of them got in (307 individuals) with a average G.P.A of 3.57. In that sense, it is not really competitive; albeit, this statistic should not encourage you to hang loose if you are still considering to major in Anthropology. The profile of admitted transfer students for spring 2011 will be released on November, and perhaps the competition has shifted since these days UCLA is receiving more and more applicants each year.

Also, keep in mind that many admitted Anthro majors did TAP and got in as their second choice.

If you’re not TAP certified and applying as an Anthro major you should have a high GPA and all pre-reqs completed.

Yeah, that is an important factor.
