I am currently pursuing a degree in electronic technology but am also interested in cars and how they function. (automotive technology). Even if I switch next semester it won’t affect me because the same classes that I am taking now are required for automotive as well. In your opinion which one would you think would have a better career? Thanks.

How is electric technology different than electric engineering?

To me, it is always better to be broad in your major if possible for the field. Having electric experience is very important with cars.
