Which math course should I take?

<p>Hey guys, I’m a bit confused about which math class I should take. I did Maths HL in the IB and got a 7. So, this would enable me to get 10 credits and place in Math 51. </p>

<p>But I haven’t done any math at all in the summer break between IB exams and going to college and so my math may be a bit rusty. Is it common for people to not do any math during the summer and still take Math 51?</p>

<p>If not then which course? Should I do Math 41 or directly do Math 42?</p>

<p>It’s very common for people to have summer between high school and college… I assume Math 51 will start off making sure everyone is solid on their calculus foundations, seeing as everyone is probably rusty. My AD said that if you aren’t confident in your ability to take 51 right away then taking 42 is a good refresher course</p>

<p>Math 51 definitely eased into things, but be sure that you pay attention the first couple of classes.</p>
