<p>Is it really possible that Harvard is 13 and Wharton is 21 when NYU is 8? Is this a ranking methodology problem – or is the problem that we always presume that certain schools are tops when in fact that should be questioned? What is the right ranking of b-schools?</p>

<p>It really depends on the area/career aspiration!</p>

<p>for finance wharton and chicago would be great
for consulting MIT would be great
for venture capital Stanford would be great
for management or private equity Harvard would be great</p>

<p>Yes, those are the cliched notions. Not that that has anything do with the truth. I could go to any of the schools you mention and get into consulting.</p>
