Guys, o was just wondering, like, which mobile phone service are you guys gonna get when you come over at JHU? i got to get once and i really cant make a choice between verizon and T - Mobile?

I’m with T-Mobile right now and I plan on keeping their service at JHU. T-Mobile’s website has a nifty coverage checker - http://coverage.t-mobile.com/Compass2/ - and it shows you street level coverage.

i heard that verizon and cingular are the 2 main cell phone providers that JHU students have

im sticking w/ cingular

Cingular works like a charm. Plus you can get a really cheap family plan, 4 phones with 500 minutes (shared) plus free nights and weekends for something like $90 a month.

Not so start an argument or anything, but I just wanted to point out that currently with T-Mobile we have three lines with 1000 shared minutes for $90 also. Cheers :)

I’ll be using T-mobile. My personal plan costs $30 and has 300 anytime with unlimited weekends. I’ve heard that cingular offers some sort of special offer for JHU, though I’m not sure to what extent that is or if their coverage is any better.

i heard cingular is the official one for jhu so there are jhu discounts, etc.,… the main thing is that if they ever add cell towers on campus like some schools do, it would be for cinular, so i might switch from verizon.
