Which New Jersey state school of these three to consider for Biology

So, I have a list of schools I’m applying to, but I need one as a safety school for Biology. I’m thinking of Kean, Rowan, and Seton Hall. Out of these three, I’ll probably be able to get in to all, but I just want to know which one is the “best” for Biology, from other people’s perspectives.

No first hand knowledge, but I would think that grad school is a consideration depending on how you’d want to use your degree. Do Kean and Seton Hall have grad schools? Are they affiliated with a medical school?

How great is the public and private commitment to the school?
Can I communicate well with the professors?
How good is the academic advisory team?
Will I be a big fish in a small pond or a small fish in a big pond?
Will I be happy (or at least content) when classes aren’t in session?
Can I see myself here?
Can I see myself here after college? (Most first job opportunities are in the area of the college).

Forget other people’s “bests”. It comes down to where you can see yourself succeeding and where you can build up a project list and build your own personal narrative.

Plato thought that the “most perfect” government reflected the “soul”, which has three parts: The Impulsive, The Spiritual (aka “feelings”) and the Rational. Justice and Happiness is in the balance of the three. Why not apply it to colleges, too?

Visit all schools that peak your interest, get your own questions handy, don’t be afraid to talk to students and professors outside of the official tours, and bring your cost calculator. Ask like Socrates, and balance like Plato.

I’d say Rowan out of those

If you have the stats for Kean’s stem honors program that’s definitely a strong option. I was doing research there this summer and the researchers I worked with were all great and passionate teachers working on quite fascinating projects. I’d certainly recommend considering that program specifically if you haven’t already.
