Which of my AP's should I study the most for?

I’m a junior and I’m taking four:

AP U.S.
AP Psychology
AP Biology
AP French Language

I have A’s in all 4 of those classes but I know AP exams are extensive…which one is hardest?!! I will try to focus on the hardest one.

(Also, I got a 5 on AP Euro last year)

I’d say…Bio and French Lang. French lang will probably be the hardest, but that’s true for all foreign language AP’s.

The toughness of foreign language tests all depends on how comfortable you are with them. Biology and French are by far the toughest, followed by USH and Psyc.

Given the score you got in Euro, I think USH would be the easiest for you. I agree with everyone else in that French and Bio are the hardest. The problem with French, as with any other foreign language, is that you can’t really study for the exam. you can take practice tests and all, but you can’t actually sit and read a review book for a while and acquire any meaningful knowledge. I’ve been in a French school for the past 4 years (I’m in Canada, and since French is one of the national languages, I was in this program called French Immersion which obviously immerses students in the French language, and then I got moved to a French school because my teachers thought I was doing very well), and I took the French w/ Listening SAT II in November, and I spent about a month studying for it, but I now realize that I would have achieved the same score had I glanced through my test prep book the day before the exam. Really, the only thing you can do to work on French would be to read tons of books, especially the CB’s reading list (I think i remember seeing something like this, but I don’t know if it was for Lang or Lit, but, even if it was for lit, it might be wise to read the books anyway) and to broaden your vocab, but those are sort of linked.

So, Bio would be the test you should spend the most time studying, and French will be the hardest. So, in order of difficulty, French, Bio, Psych and USH.

OK, thanks everyone!

So I guess French will be hardest…history is my best subject…My APBio teacher prepared us really well (her test ques. are much harder than the AP ones) and my Psych teacher basically told me I’d get a 5. SO I will def. concentrate on French

rockermcr, that makes sense. I couldn’t have studied for my SATII chinese either. I’m going to try to read some French books…we’re reading Candide by Voltaire in class right now. Is it worth doing practice tests then or should i just wing it?

Do practice tests. They help you learn to spend your time wisely for the exam. Other than that, read books and look up the words you don’t know and you should be fine. Keep in mind that many classics have archaic words that are rarely used today, so it would be good to find a dictionary that indicates the current status of the words (I know that Larousse dictionaries do).

I got a 5 on the French Language without even studying for it. I did take the course (the made me, needed the language credit), but never even bothered studying for any of the tests. But again, I speak french fluently (I attented 6th to 9th grade in french lycees), so I don’t know if it would be hard or not. The best student in my AP French class besides me (she had almost my same average) got a 3…
